ROSEDALE HOUSE

The Moeller Family were one of many families that had their house destroyed in the 2019 bushfires.
After witnessing these events RawProcess reached out to offer ProBono services to assist them in getting back on track.
This house serves as a story showing the progression of a fire effected family, moving from dispaair & disaster towards Hopefulness & happiness as their multigenerational home is rebuilt.
Testimonial
When we first lost the house in the 2019 fires, I spent weeks designing a new home, perhaps as a form of therapy. I thought it was a wonderful design that met our needs well. Enter Isaac Wagner, a young and very respectful architect doing his Masters while working for a firm. He took the time to understand Rosedale, the history of our home going back to the early 60s and our very long list of design needs (eg a modest home that takes advantage of the views, sun, neighbourly/community considerations a very long list of design aesthetics and so much more). Somehow he nailed it through a combination of mindful, thoughtful and gentle guidance and a lot of really great ideas. What have I learned? My wonderful design (as I thought it was) was anchored in what the house was, not what it could be. Having had Isaac take the time to understand our needs, he created a design that will last us for the next 55 years, respects the past and is far more functional than my modest design. I can highly recommend Isaac as an architect. He has taken us on a journey to recovery that can not be overestimated.
